"BECKY"
WINS
P.A.T.DOG
OF THE YEAR
2006 |

|
All Rottweiler owners
should rejoice and congratulate Margaret & "Becky"
for this wonderful achievement which was ratified at The Finals of this
competition in The Palace Hotel Buxton
Sunday 19th November 2006.
This award against the finest caring dogs
(ALL BREEDS) in U.K. society can never be
overstated. They are all wonderful ambassadors for companion dogs and their
stories are heart rendering. "God Bless Them All"
for the wonderful work they do.
This wonderful accolade for "Becky" has wide implications for ALL ROTTWEILERS not only in the U.K. but
WORLD WIDE.
It recognises the wonderful qualities of this much maligned
breed and proves beyond doubt that they can be quite exceptional family dogs
if they are bred and socialised to the degree necessary for all breed of
dogs .
This has been a troublesome time for all concerned with this incredible
breed of dog and for those of us who have been involved with them for a
considerable period of time it has been quite harrowing to see them
denigrated and abandoned through no fault of their own making.
History tells us that wonderful achievements are easily forgotten but sad
events last forever and with this in mind I implore all owners to be forever
vigilant and be aware that it is the dog's life that is at stake often due
to negligence on the owners part.
"Well Done Becky we Salute you" |

Becky Honoured @ S.R.C. Dog of The Year
Contest Nov. 2006 |
P.A.T. Dog of
The Year 2006 Finalist No 2

P.A.T. Dog Becky
Owned by Margaret Thomson from Dundee
Becky is a Rottweiler who visits both Camperdown Care Home
and Ballumbie Nursing Home.
Becky was nominated by David Petrie from Camperdown, who wrote nominating
Becky.
" As a full grown Rottweiler, Becky is perhaps not everyone's idea of a
P.A.T. dog, but spend five minutes with her and anyone can see that she is
the ideal choice"
Becky works in a home for clients with learning difficulties and has to deal
with a lot of distractions including high level of noise. Every week for the
last eight years Becky has brought smiles to the faces of our residents and even
helped one overcome his fear of dogs. To many of our residents Becky is the
closest any of them will come to having a pet and has become a valuable and
much loved member of Camperdowns family.
This is an invaluable service and we would like to nominate Becky as P.A.T. Dog
of The Year.
